Purpose and description

Ferrite core memory cube of communication security equipment. Consists of 18 printed circuit boards, 16 of which have memory elements. The boards are held together by four metal pins with plastic spacers between the boards. Four boards have electrical leads for connecting the cube. In addition, a metal chassis is attached to one of the boards, a metal chassis with which the cube was attached to the device case.

Internal structure and specifications

The ferrite rings on the boards are covered with a white protective compound. The number of cores on each board is unknown, but it looks like 105 (15 by 7). In addition to memory elements, there are 15 diodes on each board.
