Unknown core rope memory

Purpose and description

Core rope memory, probably aviation affiliation. Deprived of some parts. On a plastic base, under a protective transparent cover, 144 ferrite cores are installed. On the opposite side, under each ferrite core, there is a transistor and a diode. On the front side there is a connector plug and a number of contacts from which the address buses leave.

Internal structure and specifications

Transformer type core rope memory. The memory part contains 144 E-shaped ferrite cores. An uncountable number of thin copper wires - address buses - pass through them. Thus, it is not possible to determine the amount of memory at the moment.
